Warehouse Forklift Operator

Job Description

Mears Fertilizer, Inc. has immediate openings in our warehouse for experienced, safety and quality-minded individuals. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maneuvering forklifts safely while loading and unloading palletized material in the warehouses, production lines, trucks, and yard. They inspect incoming loads for damage and to ensure the safety of materials before using forklifts to move pallets and other items.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years experience in moving merchandise using a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Are safety and detail-oriented to ensure quality and service standards are maintained

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Availability and willingness to work overtime when needed, including Saturdays
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with frequent distractions while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work in dusty environments
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
• Lift and move up to 75 pounds
